Medication Policy

All medication requests need 72 hours notice - no exceptions

1. Refills – you must call your pharmacy and ask them to send a request to us.  We don’t accept any walk-in requests.

2. If changing pharmacy’s or you have a special situation where you need written prescriptions, your request must be done in writing and with all the accurate pharmacy information included.

3. Medication sample
    a. Sample requests must be done in writing with at least 72 hours notice.
    b. Samples can only be picked up from 2-5pm on Friday (no same day).


REFERRAL GUIDELINES/POLICY

All referrals are subject to Dr. Rodriguez’ approval. If you need a referral please observe the following:

• 72 hour notice is needed prior to issuing any referral request
• If the referral is for a follow up visit we must have prior office notes from the specialist before a referral is issued
• Referrals are automatically faxed to specialist offices


AFTER HOURS POLICY

If you are experiencing a life threatening emergency please call 911.

If you should need us during evenings, weekends or holidays please call our office at: 561-364-8056. When calling our office you will be instructed to press 1 for English or 2 for Spanish.  To leave a message for the on call medical assistant/doctor please press 8. If you do not receive a call back within a reasonable timeframe (10-20 minutes) please call back and leave another message indicating this is your second call. Please note our after hours system is for urgent medical issues only. For all issues regarding appointments, referrals or prescriptions please call during normal business hours and speak with the appropriate department.

Keep in mind that our Walk-In Clinic is open Saturday from 9-4 and Sunday from 9-2.
